What Was It: Kairi Sane's buccaneering cuteness, that's what. At Evolution, she smiled quite the smile before her bruising encounter with ex-MMA mauler Shayna Baszler. Pre-match and looking at Sane's pirate-y innocence, nobody who hadn't seen her before would've known she's a hellcat when the bell rings.
Why It Was Cool: Her entire entrance is such a massive change to the stiff in-ring work Kairi favours. There's a disparity between smiling Sailor Moon-meets-female Jack Sparrow charm and the eye-watering back elbows she throws mid-match. There's something so damn cool about that.
Obviously, this is gear that Sane strolls to the ring wearing weekly, so in that sense it wasn't a one-off occasion. We don't give a sh*t; it's some of the best entrance wear in pro wrestling today, not just in the confines of WWE, and it deserves to be celebrated.
