13 WWE Theme Songs That Are Blatant Ripoffs

1. Sanity (Primus - My Name Is Mud)

Sanity debuted their discordant bass-filled theme "Controlled Chaos" in late 2016, and it's certainly a refreshing change from WWE's glut of generic, lazy metalcore tunes.

But it also owes a debt to cult rockers Primus, as it's clearly inspired by their classic 1993 track "My Name Is Mud."

The aggressive bass track and drums pervading throughout the song are comically similar to Sanity's theme, to the point that Primus could probably file a lawsuit if they so wished.

Again though, if it gets even a few WWE fans interested in Primus' music, it might be a net benefit for the band.
