5. Stone Cold Steve Austin - 40 PPV Main Event Appearances
What's so impressive about Stone Cold Steve Austin's forty main event appearances is that they came in such a short window of time. That's reflective of his status as the very top guy in the late 90's, responsible for drawing so much of the WWF's business boom. If there was a show, he was the first name on the list, straight into the main event slot. His first main event was at In Your House 13: Final Four, in February 1997. His first WrestleMania main event was in 1998, winning the WWF title from Shawn Michaels. Unfortunately, in late 1999, he went out injured, only returning to the main event scene at Survivor Series 2000. His last ever show closer was against Chris Jericho at No Way Out in February 2002.
