All Out 2022 arrives under unusual circumstances, with AEW leaving fans in the dark on the main event until just four days before the pay-per-view.

This is almost unprecedented in the modern era. Particularly for AEW, for whom pay-per-view buys still comprise a sizeable chunk of revenue. Companies who need to convince their consumers to part with $50 typically advertise in advance, opening up a longer window, but here we are. The figures will tell us whether or not whether or not this Tony Khan marketing experiment pays off.

Most would have predicted CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley II headlining, though. MJF or 'Hangman' Adam Page may have sauntered into the main event scene and disrupted this on Dynamite, though the latter has a different role to play at All Out and the former could provide one of the night's biggest moments. It feels, increasingly, like The Salt of the Earth's comeback is imminent. When it happens, expect it to be the biggest thing in wrestling - bar none.
