WWE have dropped the ball so many times with Sasha Banks and Bayley now that it's genuinely surprising there's still any kind of campaign for Women's Tag Team Championships at all.
The duo symbolise how little WWE actually care about the entire women's division, if not the top storylines in the league. Because the NXT icons weren't in the title picture, their hostilities were reduced to silliness echoing the doldrums of the divas division rather than some of 2018's tremendous tussles. Between make-ups and break-ups, the pair were sent to soulless "counselling" sessions (as if competing against one another wasn't their actual job...) after a tacit tease of something beyond just friendship was hurriedly dropped.
They've just about stayed on track since making amends, but said track is headed nowhere in particular until another eventual crash.
