11. Moxley's Rage
Jon Moxley stomped through the backstage area after last week's draw with PAC. We got the footage last night, with Mox informed that Tony Khan wanted to see him and... ohhhh no, this is technically an authority figure segment, isn't it? Ugh.
That supplemental Down aside, this was a well-constructed, WCW-esque seg in that it didn't actually feature Khan on camera. Moxley marched into the office and slammed the door behind him. When Tony told him they couldn't sanction the match after his decision to DDT the referee, the 'Purveyor Of Violence' flipped out, saying Khan and AEW didn't want him to have an official win over "your boy," promising that "whatever happens to Kenny Omega is now on your hands."
Moxley, not Khan, carries this into the Ups side of the column. Let's hope this is the end of the affable AEW President as an authority figure, as convincing as the rest of this was.
