8. Colonel Mustafa

As then-WWF Champion Sgt. Slaughter€™s advisor, manager, and occasional tag partner, Colonel Mustafa (the Iron Sheik) was one of the biggest heels on the roster in 1991. Too much of a heel, it turned out, for a squeamish Hasbro. At one point Mustafa (and perhaps General Adnan) was on the cards to receive the action figure treatment but Hasbro changed their minds because they felt it was in poor taste to put out a child€™s toy that glorified the real-life Gulf War, so plans were nixed. It was a shame, as owning a Mustafa figure would have also meant that fans owned an Iron Sheik figure by default. That would have been great for those of us who wanted to recreate Sheik€™s WWF Championship loss to Hulk Hogan in 1984, or have him break the backs of a few babyfaces on the roster before making them humble.
