KENTA has always suffered from a small mans complex, and made up for it by hitting everyone as hard as possible. One of the people who really didnt like that was Yuji Nagata, who thought that KENTA was trying to stir up trouble intentionally. So what do you get when these two face off? A storm of stiffness, anger, and dramatic storytelling that bordered on legit shoot fighting. This was one of the most entertaining matches in NOAHs history. KENTA kept getting in Nagatas face, acting like the s***-starter who didnt respect anyone, while Nagata kept no-selling KENTAs offense with a hysterical expression on his face that looked like he was saying, Im going to beat the crap out of you, you little s**t. This match brought out the best out of both men KENTA was still in the prime of his career, while Nagata was still capable of putting on stellar matches, even as he crept into his mid-40s. If youre wondering why WWE signed KENTA when they did, its because he proved in matches like this one, that he had the potential to carry an entire promotion on his shoulders and deliver great matches against virtually anyone.
