15 Best Ever February Wrestling Matches

By Chad Matthews /

8. Ric Flair, Sid Vicious, Barry Windham, And Larry Zbyszko vs. Sting, Brian Pillman, And The Steiner Brothers (WrestleWar 1991)

WAR GAMES. An elite class exists within the ranks of WCW's most famous gimmick. 1991 is the second greatest of them all. Yet, when it comes to War Games, second best is good enough to be "can't miss." Featuring a gutsy performance from the late, great Brian Pillman that will introduce fans of the modern era to the man that eventually became "The Loose Cannon," as well as a handful of other notable WCW talents that never made it big in WWE, this is a match that does well to showcase why so many fans clamor for WWE to bring back War Games. Yet, you may note from the amount of blood shed why other fans have no desire to see War Games return unless WWE will allow it to be what it was - the most brutal stipulation of the WrestleMania Era. If you are a WWE fan interested in learning about Sting's career ahead of WrestleMania 31, then WrestleWar 1991 would be a good addition to your list.
