15 Biggest Losers In WWE SummerSlam History
6. Randy Orton (5 Losses)
Since his first outing in 2003, Orton’s only missed two
SummerSlams, managing 11 appearances over the years. Of them, though, five have
ended in defeat, which doesn’t necessarily give him the worst loss percentage
but it’s enough for a top six spot on this list.
Let’s change it up though and start with the wins - six of them in total, including the major scalps of the Undertaker in 2005, John Cena for the WWE title in 2009, and Chris Benoit in 2004, when Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history.
And now for the bad times...
Orton’s first defeat was in the high-profile surroundings of the Elimination Chamber in 2003. Three years later, his legend killer shtick had brought Hulk Hogan into his path, but apparently that was too big of a challenge for him. He then fell to John Cena in WWE title action in 2007 (though he’d later score retribution) before back-to-back defeats in recent years against Roman Reigns and Sheamus.
His record of 5-6 may not be the best, but it certainly makes for a star-studded cast of opponents.
