Back in the days of wrestling territories, Wahoo McDaniel was one of the most popular names in the NWA, especially down in the southern part of the United States, where he had great success in Florida, Texas and Georgia, among other places. He would then go on to win the United States Title a total of five times, second most in that title's history, only behind Ric Flair, who won it six times. Speaking of Flair, he was professed great love and admiration for Wahoo through the years time and time again. He credits Wahoo as one of the toughest men the business has ever seen, one of the greatest opponents he's ever faced, and one of the men most responsible for guiding him and helping to create the wrestler everyone would go on to know and love. Unfortunately, Wahoo would have to be another name inducted posthumously, as he passed away in 2002, but it's better late than never, and he more than belongs in the Hall.
