Fenix ended Season 1 of Lucha Underground as the first ever Gift of the Gods Champion. At the start of Season 2, he entered into a rivalry with King Cuerno that saw his foe capture that title. This ladder match from Wednesday was match number three in this series. The first highlight from this one was a leap over the ladder from Fenix that even got Vampiro out of seat to applaud. This senton-style dive came after several minutes of Cuerno destroying Fenix around the arena.
