5. Rey Mysterio – 5 Losses

Rey’s SummerSlam career is a chequered one, made up of 4 wins and 5 losses.

Despite only entering in the company in July 2002, Mysterio’s SummerSlam debut that August saw him tap out to Kurt Angle, which was a surprise at the time.

Whilst 2004 saw Mysterio lose in a six-man tag bout against The Dudleyz, 2006 was a losing singles effort against Chavo Guerrero (thanks to a heel turning Vickie Guerrero). It was 2010, though, that was Rey’s biggest SummerSlam defeat, with the high flyer losing a World Heavyweight Championship match to Kane.

In his final SummerSlam appearance, the 2013 event saw Mysterio fail in his attempt to take The Miz’s Intercontinental Championship.
