15 Superstars With The Most Losses At SummerSlam
15. Bret Hart – 4 Losses
Starting off this list is a man renowned for his excellent SummerSlam matches. That’s not to say he won them all, though.
In fact, one of Bret Hart’s greatest ever matches was a losing effort against Davey Boy Smith in a SummerSlam ’92 Intercontinental Title bout. He’d follow this up with a DQ loss against Jerry Lawler at the next year’s event, in a match where he got DQ’d for refusing to break his patented Sharpshooter.
Bret’s only other 2 SummerSlam losses came as part of the Hart Foundation, with him and Jim Neidhart losing to Demolition in 1988 and The Brain Busters in 1989.
Much like the Hitman, there are a few other superstars with 4 SummerSlam losses under their belts, but they feature higher on this list by virtue of having worse overall records at the WWE’s annual August PPV.
Even with 4 losses to his name, Bret Hart is still the superstar with the most high quality SummerSlam matches on his resume.
