15 Times Stone Cold Steve Austin's Ego Ran Wild In WWE

4. Taboo Tuesday

At Taboo Tuesday 2005, WWE had the plan to have Stone Cold Steve Austin lose to Jonathan Coachman in a match. Austin told Vince "no" and pulled out of his planned participation in the event. It was definitely a crazy set of circumstances. Austin wrestling his first match since 2003... and losing to a commentator? It was outlandish booking, but it was still an ego move on Austin's part to pull out of the advertised match. Why he even accepted it in the first place is a bit of a mystery, it was hardly a match worth returning for. The whole incident brought back a degree of heat between Austin and McMahon, but once again, time healed the wounds.
