Ron Simmons was a World Champion in WCW and a multiple-time tag team champion in WWE, but in between those two runs, he spent time in ECW. Simmons immediately set his sights on ECW Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas, challenging him for the title at November 2 Remember 1994. Douglas retained the belt, but Simmons scored victories over the likes of The Pitbulls, Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko, and later defeated Douglas after he lost the belt to The Sandman. Simmons's time in ECW was only a brief stopover, but like so many other legends, he added credibility to the company - and like everyone who stepped in an ECW ring, he helped make it a wild and unpredictable place that will never be forgotten.
