Anyone thinking Jerry Lawler's banter is old and out-of-place must remember that cringeworthy jokes are kinda' King's thing. That sometimes poses a problem when he's trying to be serious, doesn't have a one-liner at hand and trips over himself.

Lawler said Survivor Series would be huge because it mixed "NXT, WWE Raw and SmackDown Live". His phrasing was very strange ("WWE Raw" is barely used these days, and "SmackDown Live" isn't the name of Friday night's show anymore).
