WWE's creative core has fully embraced pre-WrestleMania season wandering, and Raw was another example of current company lethargy. As with almost everything lately, it wasn't actually a terrible show at all, but it's crystal bloody clear to anyone watching that things will pick up a bit in the new year when WWE begin rolling towards Florida.
The only notable storyline developments this week were Bobby Lashley's marriage proposal to Lana and Seth Rollins going back on his word (again) by putting the boots to Rey Mysterio after saying he wouldn't. Thank God then that there were loads of sneaky hidden gems sprinkled throughout the broadcast, otherwise this might be the shortest article in the series.
Despite being served a rematch from TLC, a rudimentary squash and a 50-minute Gauntlet that didn't have a proper finish, the fans were in good spirits. They, along with moments like Jerry Lawler stepping on Becky Lynch's gimmicky toes, some more hints that Bray Wyatt might get a female partner and Andrade paying homage to classic WWF, helped make the show watchable.
