The worlds of Hollywood and the WWE aren't exactly a million miles away: they're both insane bubbles that are tough to relate to if you exist outside of them, and each of course relies on an inherent theatricality and (often enormous) suspension of disbelief for what you're watching. At their best though, both cinema and wrestling are terrifically entertaining escapism, a trip to a whole other world where anything can happen, but in the case of wrestling, there's no stuntmen, and every athlete is thoroughly putting themselves through the wringer every time they go out to the ring. Wrestling is solid training for a job in Hollywood, then, and as such it's little surprise that a fair number of wrestlers do end up in movies, from the incredible success of Dwayne Johnson to the WWE's own productions, and also the countless Hollywood bit-parts from superstars you won't even know about (Lana was in both Pitch Perfect movies, did you know?). These 16 superstars, however, desperately need their own movies, if only because their weekly presence seemingly isn't enough, with their sheer personality suggesting that they're capable of giving us even more entertainment in other outlets...if Vince McMahon would ever sign off on it. Here are 16 WWE superstars who need their own movies...
