17 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (Aug 20)

8. What This Sign Said

WWE

The beauty of a good pro wrestling sign comes from simplicity. Or, if you're the little lad holding this one, it comes from knowing that you're burning a wrestler bad and therefore don't care if any of the folks watching at home can read it.

Here's what the sign said: "Seth. Grandma Want Her Couch Cover Back. P.S. You Suck!". The wee guy shoving it in Rollins' face couldn't have looked prouder once he clocked that Seth spotted it. He probably didn't read the whole thing though.

Sorry, lil' dude.

7. All Those Hints

Dom Mysterio wasn't the only one dropping hints.

WWE pretty much gave away what was about to happen to Seth Rollins during both his promo and Edge's earlier speech. Firstly, Edge said that Seth makes his 'blood run black". Later, Rollins repeatedly said the 'blackness in Edge's heart" was gone and he'd never be mega-malicious again.

Seth was also wearing white, which is a dead giveaway that someone's about to get messy in wrestling. The word "black" was said non-stop between both men before the blood bath gimmick was triggered.

6. “You’ll Never See It Coming”

Also, what's up with this?

SummerSlam 2020's tagline was, "You'll Never See It Coming". Vince McMahon said that several times on telly before the pay-per-view, but WWE hasn't used it again for this year's SummerSlam. Suddenly, Edge blurted out that slogan from the tron.

Maybe they'll put a last-minute tag on SummerSlam to tease something major (like a Big E cash in?) over the weekend. WWE would have to act fast though!
