17 Wrestlers Who Did NOT Appear On AEW Dynamite Debut

Orange Cassidy just couldn't be bothered...

AEW filed some considerable proverbial copy last night, hitting the ground running on TNT with their appropriately explosive debut edition of Dynamite.

As you would expect, all the nascent company's biggest hitters were firmly in situ for their historic bow.

Men's champ Chris Jericho closed the show opposite the world's best Kenny Omega, the pair backed by Impact transplants LAX and founders The Young Bucks respectively. Elsewhere, Cody - who else? - kicked proceedings off, whilst there was room on the card for de facto headliners MJF, PAC and Hangman Page. Quite rightly, we also saw the women's championship take centre stage, as Riho unexpectedly upset Nyla Rose to crown herself AEW's inaugural title holder.

But not everybody made it to Washington last night (or at the very least, before the cameras). One of the proposed strengths of AEW going forward is the stated ambition to rotate talent, ensuring they don't suffer from the sort of overexposure which blights so many at their rivals up in Stamford. As such, some major names took a backseat during Dynamite - presumably, they'll be given their own fanfare in the coming weeks.

13. CIMA

OWE sensation CIMA was in attendance in Washington last night, though his match opposite Darby Allin was for the viewing pleasure of those in attendance only.
