It's hard to decide whether this week's SmackDown was a big or small show. Any time Triple H opens WWE's "B show", it can probably be regarded as a special occasion. On the other hand, various top stars were missing, including Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar - all of whom have frequented the blue brand in recent weeks. To make matters worse, almost every match on the show (save for the opening bout and main event) seemed to last a mere minute or two, dominated by shenanigans and interferences rather than a focus on the actual in-ring action. That's not to suggest SmackDown was without positives. Although Triple H bored us all throughout the 2000s with a seemingly-unending string of long "I'm the best" promos, his segment at the top of the broadcast was actually rather refreshing - and expertly delivered, to boot. 17. Obviously Piped-In Boos For Triple H
There's no way The Game was welcomed to the arena with as many boos as WWE wanted to imply. Triple H was clearly cheered on Raw as he beat the tar out of Roman Reigns, and his entrance on SmackDown was swamped by obviously piped-in jeers in a vain hope of compensating.
