17 WTF Moments From WWE SmackDown (June 30)

A good episode of SmackDown?!?! WTF!

Well, I suppose there's really 18 WTF Moments from this week's WWE SmackDown as there only being 17 in an entire WWE show constitutes being a WTF Moment all on its own!

Nevertheless, this was the first SmackDown since Seth Rollins absolutely besmirched Roman Reigns in front of the world live on RAW. My goodness that was a great promo wasn't it?

The intrigue, for me at least, heading into this week's SmackDown was whether WWE would keep on going with the Reigns bashing or sweep it under the carpet. There's no doubting that they needed to reference it in some form, but now they have I wouldn't be surprised if Vince McMahon banishes any mention of it in the hope we all forget about it before his return at Battleground.

This week's SmackDown looked like being a proper wrestlers' wrestling show with a Fatal 4-Way announced ahead of start time. Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, Apollo Crews and Sheamus would battle it out with the winner going on to face Rusev for the United States Championship later on in the night. That's nice.

On top of that, WWE Champion - not WWE World Heavyweight Champion, remember? - Dean Ambrose was all set to appear on Miz TV. That promised to be... fun?

Here are all the WTF Moments from this week's SmackDown. Make sure to check out the accompanying video on our YouTube channel!

17. That Ca-tache-trophe

Look at the state of Sheamus there. The Celtic Warrior made the most necessary change since Steve McClaren was replaced with Rafa Benitez by my beloved Newcastle United when he dropped those dangly bits that looked not too dissimilar from 'winnets' from his beard.

He then developed one of the stronger beard games on planet earth before making a mess of things once again.

According to my good friend and facial hair connoisseur Adam Pacitti, Sheamus is now sporting a handle bar moustache to accompany his strong beard - even though the handlebar is clearly the gimmick of Simon Gotch.

That's it then, Sheamus is on the brink of a gimmick change that will see him suddenly value the mantras held by those from a past generation.

Yep. We're off to a flying start.
