Travelling for Kane is a pain. He's seven feet tall and 320 pounds, which makes it particularly annoying for him when having to squeeze in a car full of wrestlers. It must have been really frustrating back in his early days with the WWF. He wasn't making much money, so he was probably going for the cheapest rental car possible. Just ducking his head down to get in the door must have been a task. Flying would've been similarly irritating. A guy as big as Kane in an economy seat isn't easy. Presumably now, he might opt for bigger cars and first class seats. He's a rich man at this stage in his life. But he's also from an era of thrifty road culture, so perhaps he still goes with the basic travelling options.
