Hyperbolic commentary is nothing new to wrestling, but Josh Matthews took it to the next level this week, by making a desperate attempt to make the Open Mic Challenge feel like it actually had some importance. After Mr. Anderson defeated Bram, Matthews said, "What a launching point this could be for Mr. Anderson's career here on Impact Wrestling", as though this is some unforgettable hallmark in his career, though Josh missed a trick by not saying "turning point" instead. Plus, it makes Anderson sound like some young buck on the rise, which is a much more apt description for his opponent. Between this and once again erroneously claiming that #TurningPoint was trending worldwide on Twitter, Matthews is totally shameless. Wishing for the "good 'ol days" of Don West yet?
