16. The ECW References In Xavier Woods’ Promo

Xavier Woods' promo had much more life.

It possibly had a double meaning too. The New Day man said that AJ and Omos "made a hell of an impact" - that could've been a nod towards TNA. Woods followed that up by saying, "You two players, and that's just incredible".

ECW loyalists may have spotted a dual reference here. The 'Impact Players' were a tag-team comprised of Lance Storm and (wait for it) Justin Credible. Xavier just stopped short of adding something like, 'You whipped up quite the storm'.
