Many were wondering exactly what the hell was going to happen on this week's Impact considering that TNA seemingly hadn't taped any new content and this week's show surely wasn't going to go out live. As it turned out, TNA had rather cleverly taped the tournament in secret back in July, filming matches out of order so they seemed like regular singles bouts without the audience cottoning onto what was going on. Though it's incredibly sad that TNA has had to resort to this, it's pretty impressive how meticulously they appear to have planned it all out in order to save their hides and keep programming continuity without having to resort to clip shows.
