2 Big Gimmick Matches Set For Next Week's WWE NXT 2.0
The developmental brand served up a couple of match announcements last night.
A couple of big matches have been booked for next week's episode of WWE NXT 2.0.
Last night's show brought confirmation that Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez will face each other in a Street Fight seemingly designed to end their long-running feud. Gonzalez, the former NXT Women's Champion, claimed that she was going to end Dakota, who brawled with Raquel after her ex-partner had prevented a shovel attack on Corda Jade, who beat Dakota one on one.
This will be Gonzalez and Kai's third singles match in NXT. Raquel successfully defended the Women's Title against Dakota at TakeOver 36 back in August. Then, in their 16 November rematch, Gonzalez took another W, this time via disqualification.
WWE has also booked a grudge match pitting Pete Dunne against Tony D'Angelo, which has been brewing for several weeks now.
The duo were on opposite side of WarGames earlier this month. D'Angelo had taken aim at Dunne in promos leading up to the event and continued thereafter, including last night, when he cut a promo on the Englishman after beating Andre Chase, drawing Pete out from the back.
Trick Williams vs. Dexter Lumis and Von Wagner vs. an opponent TBC have also been set for next week.
