Two blockbuster bouts were confirmed for this year's impending SummerSlam event on last night's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

The first portion of this double-whammy of mouth-watering announcements came early in the evening as Bianca Belair challenged the star who attacked her from behind seven days ago. This means that Allegiant Stadium will see a highly anticipated WrestleMania 37 rematch, with Sasha Banks looking to reclaim the belt that was prised away from her on the Grandest Stage. It was a busy night for the current SmackDown Women's champ as she also went one-on-one with Zelina Vega in a Championship Contender's bout, besting the recently returning star after a K.O.D.

Another exciting contest was also finally made official last night when the Rated R Superstar took to the ring to fire some shots at the star who had also attacked him from behind a week ago - are you sensing a pattern? Appearing via satellite, Seth Rollins would proceed to taunt the star he cost the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank. Further insults were then thrown back-and-forth, with Edge even labelling The Architect as "Edge Lite", before the two agreed to collide at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Though both of these match-ups have been expected to show up on the SummerSlam 2021 card for some time now, the sight of the showdowns that have now been officially slated for the August 21 event is enough to suggest we could be in for an all-timer summer spectacular.
