2 Title Unification Matches Set For NXT Worlds Collide
NXT, NXT UK men's and women's champions to clash at next month's show.
In a move further marking the end of NXT UK, NXT and its spinoff will unify its main men's and women's titles in less than two weeks at Worlds Collide. The announcements came Tuesday night during NXT 2.0
NXT Champion Bron Breakker opened the show by calling out NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate for an in-ring chat. The two exchanged compliments before Bate noted that he was the first and now the last UK champ with NXT Europe around the corner. He then suggested that they unify the two titles, and Breakker accepted.
Later, Blair Davenport toppled Indi Hartwell and ranted about how she should be next in line for a women's title match. Cue NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose, who demanded people put respect on her name. This brought out NXT UK Women's Champion Meiko Satomura. The Final Boss challenged Rose to a title unification match at Worlds Collide, but Davenport whined that she was #1 contender, so Satomura decided to make the challenge a triple threat.

Both contracts were signed backstage to close NXT 2.0, giving the upcoming PLE its top two matches right out of the gate. It marks a strange ending to the five-year-old brand, as NXT UK is seemingly fading away and merging with NXT before the rebranded NXT Europe ramps up.
Worlds Collide will air on 4 September, the day after WWE Clash at the Castle, and just hours before AEW's All Out PPV.
