2 Titles Change Hands At WWE Hell In A Cell 2017

WWE's annual Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View played host to a pair of undercard title changes, as both the Smackdown Tag Team Championships and the United States Championship found new holders.
In the show's opening contest - the first-ever tag-team Hell in a Cell match - The Usos defeated The New Day to regain the titles that they lost last month in Las Vegas. The bout - which saw Xavier Woods and Big E represent The New Day - was a hectic affair that involved weapons such as kendo sticks and chairs. The Usos scored the win in 22 minutes after hitting Woods with the Double Uce.
The United States Championship match directly followed the opener, but didn't take place as advertised. During the pre-show, Tye Dillinger - who defeated challenger Baron Corbin on Smackdown - successfully lobbied to be added to the bout, turning it into a triple threat match. That meant that Corbin was able to score the win without defeating champion AJ Styles, pinning Dillinger at 19:20 to win the first championship of his wrestling career.
Both The New Day and Styles will receive future title shots as per WWE's "rematch clause" stipulation.
