Speaking of "complete and utter wastes".

So, let's get this straight: Murphy split from Seth Rollins because he fell in love with Rey Mysterio's daughter Aalyah. That was abandoned without any meaningful resolution, and now Murph is trying to cuddle up with Rollins again after some time off. OK, somebody needs to establish stability on SmackDown creative.

Seth's long-running feud with the Mysterio clan now looks totally fruitless. It didn't lead to anything for his one-time pal Murphy, didn't introduce Aalyah as a full-time character, and didn't elevate Rollins further up the card either. WWE aren't even doing much with Rey and Dominik as a tag-team. Pointless.

Murphy looked like a tool by appearing out of nowhere to offer his services to Seth again (despite the 'Messiah' gimmick being played down), and he lost like some 1980s jobber in a short match with Cesaro later on top of that. This was not compelling television, and it spat in the face of anyone who cared about Seth vs. Rey.
