There was a rather glum irony about the various men and women (literally, in The Bella Twins' cases) waving flags for John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long considering how little the general managers had done for them in kayfabe - if the two suited buffoons had done right by them, they wouldn't have had to slum it in this midcard snoozer.
Ripped right from a Bragging Rights/Survivor Series main event, this Red Vs Blue card-filler afforded The Miz an ego-(if not status)enhancing win, whilst Zack Ryder's WrestleMania Moment was finally, conclusively, binned off by the perpetually devious Eve Torres.
The match gifted 'Big Johnny' total control of both brands too - a further nail in the coffin of the ailing roster split, and a damaging onscreen recreation of the off-screen carnage he'd caused in the role for the better part of a decade.
