Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett and Rusev had all been in stronger spots at various points in their careers - was this cobbled-together idea about a cobbled-together gang a step down the ladder too far for the quartet?
Their victory over The New Day was the grossest indictment of WWE's 50/50 booking on this particular card. Megastars Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E had turned babyface as a result of the feud and entered via a ginormous box of Booty-O's, transforming them into literal manifestations of the merchandise magnates they'd become.
Tasting defeat wasn't destined to hurt them, but the booking was too transparent to help the winners. Especially when they were about to become losers too...
