11. The Undertaker Vs. CM Punk - WrestleMania XXIX
Anyone who listened to CM Punk's infamous interview on the Art of Wrestling podcast will know that he lobbied hard to make the WrestleMania XXIX main event a triple threat match between himself, John Cena and The Rock. WWE felt that a singles match between Rock and Cena would do better business but gave Punk a match with The Undertaker to appease him. The build for their match wasn't the best, thanks to moments such as the ones were Punk and Paul Heyman mocked the recently-deceased Paul Bearer. There was also concern that the match might fail to garner the desired crowd heat, since it was an apparent foregone conclusion that The Streak would remain intact. So Punk and 'Taker had a lot working against them (not to mention the question marks over The Dead Man's physical condition) but they managed to defy the odds and put on a show-stealing match. Full of hair-raising near falls, wonderful visuals (such as the pic above) and neat moments of psychology, this one had it all. Punk may consider his WWE career a 'failure' since he never went on last at 'Mania, but he can be proud of this match with The Undertaker, a match that will more than likely turn out to be Punk's last WrestleMania outing.
