20 Dumbest Wrestler Names EVER (...That We Absolutely LOVE)

12. Kwee Wee

The WCW Cruiserweight division undoubtedly peaked when Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Juventud Guerrara, Chris Jericho and a few select others were having some of the flashiest matches mainstream audiences had ever seen, but budding historians shouldn't sleep on the latter day crop; Shane Helms, Chavo Guerrero Jr and even Kwee Wee put forth some respectable efforts.

Kwee Wee. What a bloody name that is! How could somebody be called Allan Funk in real life but land on that as his ring name?! Kwee was a Power Plant graduate (you can see him in the background on a Louis Theroux documentary about wrestling from July 1999) who survived the rigorous training to become a breakout midcarder alongside Booker T's future wife Sharmell, who was known as Paisley on TV.

Funker (not that one) was described as "eccentric" on episodes of Nitro, Thunder and Saturday Night by WCW's announcers. There was a not-so-subtle nod and a wink towards his sexuality, but that thankfully didn't take centre stage over his matches. Most fans were simply wondering what plug socket Wee had stuck his finger in to achieve his hairstyle anyway.

Later, right before WCW went out of business, Kwee Wee changed to 'Angry Allan' and pretty much had Christian circa 2002 meltdowns when things didn't go his way inside the ring. Post-WCW, he also worked a gimmick called ‘The Funkster’ in curious Australian pay-per-view outlet WWA. It was a parody of Hulk Hogan, for the record.

Try saying Kwee Wee 10 times super fast. Go on, we'll wait.
