11. "I Don't Think We'll Ever See Again!"

The year is 1999. Six years after their ECW debuts as goofy rap-loving toughs, and two years after the end of their WCW run, The Public Enemy - "Flyboy" Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge - made their WWF debuts on Sunday Night Heat against The Acolytes, Faarooq and Bradshaw. It's amazing that after six years of wrestling in mainly hardcore matches that involved all manner of violence, that the brutal beating that Grunge and Rock take in said match due to perceived backstage disrespect was actually the last significant mainstream exposure the duo ever had. When Terry Taylor utters the words that "we'll ever see them again," we pretty much didn't. Perhaps one of the most telling moments of just how far the ECW attitude and ethos had permeated mainstream pro wrestling, this one match says everything you'd ever want to know about how significant ECW's legacy is when two non-ECW originals lay a legitimate "ECW style" beating on two ECW originals.
