17. Rob Van Dam Wrestled Jeff Hardy Before InVasion 2001
On May 12, 1997, a huge shot was fired in the "ECW vs. WWF" feud between Jerry Lawler and an entire wrestling promotion. ECW wrestler Rob Van Dam appeared on Monday Night Raw as someone that agreed with Lawler that ECW stood for "Extremely Crappy Wrestling." In a move that led to Van Dam being referred to as "Mr. Monday Night," Van Dam debuted against none other than then-enhancement talent Jeff Hardy. Some four years prior to their epic hardcore encounter at InVasion, the wrestlers had a three-minute match which Van Dam won with his split-legged moonsault.
