It took The Rock three chances to beat Steve Austin at WrestleMania, but he finally managed to do it at Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington. The circumstances surrounding this match are what make this such an impressive losing effort from Austin. The Texas Rattlesnake was dealing with nagging injuries and burnout from a long run at the top of WWE. The night before WrestleMania 19, Austin was rushed to the emergency room due to an increased heart-rate brought on by stress and excessive energy drink consumption. He made up his mind that this encounter with The Rock would be his last match. Going into the bout with a goal of not stinking up the joint, Austin left it all in the squared circle that made him famous. It took a Peoples Elbow and three consecutive Rock Bottoms to keep the Bionic Redneck down.
