When Bryan Danielson appeared in the WWEs gameshow-esque NXT as Daniel Bryan, many wondered if hed have the chance to showcase his full range of skills. That concern was partly put to rest as soon as he had his first NXT match. Headlining the first ever NXT episode, Bryan went up against then-World Champion Chris Jericho. The two put on a great short match that helped establish D-Bry as somebody who could hang with the very best as he held his own with, at that point, arguably the greatest wrestler in WWE. For those not familiar with Bryan Danielson, this was a great introduction to him and his work, giving a tease of what was to come and standing as one of the cornerstone moments of the American Dragons career.
