15. Over The Limit 2012

This was it, the moment that smart wrestling fans the world over had been waiting for years to see: CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan live on PPV for the WWE Championship. Of course, Over the Limit 2012 may have been headlined by John Laurinaitis against John Cena, but that didn€™t matter. We all got to finally see two former Ring of Honor World Champions going up against each other for the biggest prize in professional wrestling. And the pair did not disappoint. Punk would controversially retain his WWE Title in a gripping 25-minute classic, but most fans weren€™t too bothered about who emerged victorious here. It was largely just about seeing two performers who many had followed for a decade, who had busted their ass to even make it to WWE let alone to become huge WWE stars. It was about seeing these guys given the respect and acknowledgement that they deserved and being allowed to go all-out as the main attraction of a WWE PPV.
