10. Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio (Judgment Day 2009)
The 2009 series of matches between Jericho and Mysterio was a collection of some of the most aesthetically pleasing in-ring performances that you will ever see. Each match showcased their ability to pull off intricate sequences with a high degree of difficulty, making them look easy in the process. The two PPV matches that proceeded the Judgment Day bout have rightfully earned much more of the glory, but there was not a match in the lot that was not outstanding. At Judgment Day, they were tasked with getting the job done in the shortest amount of time that they were given throughout their feud over the Intercontinental Championship and they delivered in spades. In part, what made the first PPV bout in the 09 series so good was that the expectations had not yet been set. Each match that followed Judgment Day brought the pre-match anticipation up a notch, but it was at the May PPV that they laid the foundation. Every time that they had ever stepped into the ring with each other, they had produced a good match. 2009, though, saw two veterans who still had the ability to do much of what they could a decade prior, but who had also gained a guile that came with an added decade of experience.
