20 Most Iconic WWE Entrance Themes

By Sean Ross Sapp /

17. The Shield/Roman Reigns

Much like Lesnar, The Shield weren't even around for two years when their theme became an iconic one. Coupled with the enigma that was the Shield, and accentuated by their fantastic and captivating entrance through the crowd, fans took to the group. After their break up just a year and a half after their debut, departing members Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose received new, terrible themes, while Roman Reigns was the fortunate soul to retain the use of "Special Op." The transition from longtime producer Jim Johnston, who produced the track, to new WWE producers CFO$ has not been a smooth or healthy one, and Rollins and Ambrose are feeling that with their new tracks. The telling, yet almost creepy "Sierra, hotel, India, ccho, delta," in which originally kicked off the theme is now gone since the group dissolved, but Roman Reigns has kept the theme alive, and mercifully so. As Roman Reigns star continues to shoot, so will this theme, presuming he doesn't receive a new one. However, the impact in which the group and song has had on wrestling is already enough to land it at number 17.
