The entire Aleister Black/The OC set piece was a convoluted shambles, and it began with a moment that made the Dutchman look like the biggest dope in the building.

Black thought he was gearing up for a singles match with AJ Styles. Wrong! Aleister, we were told, neglected to read the contract properly, and it was revealed he needed to beat Karl Anderson before advancing to ‘The Phenomenal One.’ Oh, and Luke Gallows. That was another reveal.

WWE remains insistent on making the majority of its babyface characters look like dumb*sses, even total *ss-kickers like Black. Imagine investing in them.
