What a dopey little idea this was.

Street Profits vs. Rollins and Murphy was billed as Dawkins and Ford’s final opportunity at the Raw Tag Team Championships. A fitting stipulation if we were looking at, say, a 3-5 year run throughout which the straps had continually evaded them, building to a huge, emotional climax, but the Profits have only been on Raw since July 2019.

On top of this, like the rematch-heavy feud structure, the stipulation telegraphed the result. This isn’t Cody. The Street Profits were always taking the straps as soon as the announcers started prattling on about it.

Why is WWE so insistent on showing their hand?
