12. Jake Would Take A Cut Of Other Wrestler's Stuff For Smuggling
Jake's drug addictions became common knowledge in the WWF locker room during the late-80s, so much so that other wrestlers started to view him as some sort of Teflon drug mule. When the company worked shows in Canada, for example, Roberts would often carry steroids and other drugs for his pals in the locker room.
Then, he'd pocket approx 10% of their 'stuff' for his own use.
Yes, Jake would tax wrestlers for asking him to smuggle their drugs across the border. It was worth it for the others, because at least then they wouldn't get into trouble with the law if they were busted. That was on Roberts, and he had a cunning plan to stop anyone from searching his bags.
Jake would regularly pack his snake into a trunk and check it in as his main baggage for the flight. Airlines didn't know that they had a live python (or cobra, depending on the week) in the hold, and they weren't aware that the same case was also stuffed with drugs.
