In the summer of 1998, Val Venis slept with Japanese KaiEnTai manager Yamaguchi-san's wife. As revenge, Yamaguchi-san promised to sever Venis' penis from his human body. This angle actually closed an episode of Raw! Venis was abducted and strapped up backstage with Yamaguchi brandishing a katana. The screen went black and screams were heard as Raw went off the air. WWE went a step further next week by bringing in John Wayne Bobbitt- a guy who legitimately had his penis cut off in real life- who had somehow saved Venis. Wow.
