10. WrestleMania VI - Hogan's Loss Was Beefcake's Win
Since The Ultimate Warrior was going to be leaving WrestleMania VI as the undisputed number one superstar in the company holding both singles titles, of course a concession was made by Vince McMahon in order to appease the Hulkster. That concession was that Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Hogan's real-life best friend, would become the first wrestler to gain a pinfall victory over the undefeated (on television) Mr. Perfect during the undercard. In reality, Hogan had already defeated Perfect a number of times at various house shows but since none were captured on television, the company ignored the outcomes and still promoted Mr. Perfect as being 'undefeated'. For as impressive a moment as this should've been, Perfect vs. Beefcake was anti-climactic and underwhelming. The finish came when Brutus slingshotted Perfect into the ring post and covered him for the victory. A rematch was set for SummerSlam '90, this time with the Intercontinental Title on the line, but it would not take place after Brutus sustained a life-threatening, career-shortening facial injury in a parasailing accident. His facial skeleton was crushed and it cost The Barber several years of his career. Like many things in Beefcake's career, his WrestleMania VI victory over the previously undefeated Mr. Perfect was thanks to Hulk Hogan.
