7. WrestleMania VII Features The Most Deceased Wrestlers
Undoubtedly, the most morbid thing many fans don't know about the WrestleManias that took place between 1985 and 1994 deals with the number of deceased performers. Taking into account managers, announcers, broadcasters, notable referees, etc., the "death toll" reaches double digits for WrestleMania VI and VII. WrestleMania VII has the most with 18 performers: Andre The Giant, Big Boss Man, Crush, Dino Bravo, Earthquake, Road Warrior Hawk, Hercules, Lord Alfred Hayes, Mr. Perfect, British Bulldog, Texas Tornado, Joey Marella, Gorilla Monsoon, Rowdy Roddy Piper and the entire Career-Ending Match participants Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth, Sensational Sherri. WrestleMania VI had the second most with 16: Andre, Boss Man, Dino, Earthquake, Hercules, Perfect, Piper, Bad News Brown, Rick Rude, Joey Marella, Gorilla Monsoon and again Randy Savage's entire match which also involved Dusty Rhodes, Sapphire, Elizabeth and Sensational Sherri. It's unfortunate and some people may know that those WrestleManias featured several individuals that have gone before us, but seeing the exact numbers climb closer to 20 is not something many fans know exactly.
