5. WrestleMania VII - Jesse Ventura's First Replacement On Commentary Was Hacksaw Jim Duggan
After commentating the first 6 WrestleManias with each other, Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura's streak came to and end in 1991. WrestleMania VII was the first WrestleMania to feature a new announce duo and Gorilla Monsoon opened up the broadcast by introducing the audience to his fellow commentator, Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Duggan came out in full USA regalia looking even more like a goofball than usual and provided the color for the Rockers vs. Barbarian & Haku opening bout. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan would be the true replacement for Jesse Ventura for much of the company's syndicated programming in 1991 and beyond, as well as WrestleManias VII through IX, but he was still pulling double-duty as a manager the night of WrestleMania VII. Because of this, the event saw Duggan replace The Body in the first match and later, Lord Alfred Hayes joined Gorilla Monsoon for Mr. Perfect's title defense against the Big Boss Man.
